Default Problems with 2721 servos !

Hey Danny:

I've had problems with several 2721 servos that tend to oscillate around the center position when the stick is released. One servo was brand new and the other was returned by Horizon service after checking it out and reporting no apparent problems.

When I replaced them with 4721 servos, there is no oscillation and they return to center perfectly.

I guess my question is :

Is this a problem specific to the 2721 servo or is it a radio-receiver problem?

Thanks,

HAL

I don't think you are having any radio-receiver problems. Is there any slop in the gears, i.e. worn gears, or any other slop or flexible pushrods? Also make sure that the servos are not mounted too rigidly, i.e. screws too tight, mounting rails too tight on the servos. Also if the servos are older and have seen a lot of use, the pots may be worn causing the problems. If you can touch the surface and it stops, this is not likely the cause though.
