652 flaperon set-up
I’m having a problem balancing the right and left ailerons. Left is in #6 and right is in #2. Wing type is Flaperon, which is on. Both right and left servos move but not the same. I’ve tried the dual rate adjust and the travel adjustment but I can’t get them the same, actually I can’t find a way to adjust the individual servos. I have no reason to think anything is wrong except me. The receiver is a R600. The servos are not at center of travel either! They are Hi-tec 425.

Do a mix, channel 6 to 6 in an open programmable mix, and set the values to -100% with the flap switch in both positions. This will center the servos properly. Then to set the travel you will want to set the flap servo mechanically to get the travel you are wanting, then use the aileron servo travel adjustment to match the servo plugged into the aileron channel to the flap servo.

652/662 flaperons...
Danny - you gave me this answer when I bumped into the problem. Certainly seems like a bug in the radio as, not only must you use one of the three mixes, but you still can't get full servo throw on both surfaces, ie, you sync one airleron to the lesser throw of the other. Not good!!

It isn't a bug, it is just the way the lower cost systems work, the 378 and up work a little different in that each channel adjusts individually. To increase travel you can either do it mechanically or increase the percentage in the dual rates. You can zero the flap channel travel to free up a mix, but using the mix works better for other functions.
