Default Jr 388

Hi Danny,

I have a 388 that I recently got as part of a deal. I am using it and really like it, but have a couple of questions that I can't find in the book.

Please bear in mind that I a relatively new to the hobby.

If I get an additional module, does that increase my capacity to store another 8 models?

Are the modules just a convenient way change the frequency or is there another reason for their use.

What's the deal with the 2 PCM modes?

Thanks In Advance,

Oscar

The module contains the entire frequency determining compontents of the system, and does not store model memories of the system. JR makes SPCM and also ZPCM, SPCM being the newer type. The difference between the 2 is in the resolution of the servos, and that is the number of steps the servo will take in its travel. ZPCM is 512 resolution, while SPCM is 1024. JR still makes their PCM capable systems with both so that the older ZPCM receivers can still be used.

Thanks Danny, A very simple explanation for PCM. You wouldn't believe how many different answers I've had from well meaning uninformed local flyers. I comfortably take your answer as gospel.

Enjoy the new year!
