RE: 12X
No plans to throw it away yet, as I am extremely happy with it. Does everything I wanted and for me I find it better than my previous 9xii, despite it being an older design.
But that 12X has got me drooling all over the keyboard!!!!!

- And!! New model [puropo] it is announcement!! 12ch it probably will put out, is.
There is design of black and white, but either one comes out, it is probably will be?
And, there was also such a stick. Trial manufacture it probably will put out, is.
Not that it really helps much..........

RE: 12X
IF you just got to have it prior to a USA realease which will take Horizon 3 years given their history with the JR 9303, the PARKMITE, or synthisized modules of the 2003 Tokyo fair,
ie: [link]http://www.jason.net/heli/fair1003.htm[/link]
I would suggest you hook up with www.cyberheli.com No one gets em faster than him IMHO.........

RE: 12X
Pointless asking just yet as it is not at a production stage. It is still in design and probably will be for a while yet.
Please remember that ALL distributors get sample models at roughly the same time so that they can give feedback, allow for FCC / CE testing etc etc. Then it will go into production in batches for the market (ie a batch will be made for 40 MHz, then 72MHz, then 35MHz, 36MHz [ but not necessarily in that order]).
Remember that Horizon did NOT take the 9X when it first came out but developed in conjunction with JR the 9303 which was then re-released as the 9XII.

RE: 12X
Which version ?
There will be 2 versions for the Rest Of The World (ROTW), the standard 12X on standard frequencies will probably be out this summer (latter part). It is a synthesised system as per the 2720.
There is also another version in the pipeline, the 12X-2.4. This is the top of the range 2.4 GHz set which is going to be a co-produced set between JR Radio of Japan (for you USA based people... ) and Horizon/Spektrum.
This set will probably hit the USA towards the end of the year perhaps at the end of Autumn ? (Fall) But as is typical with any major equipment, release dates will vary and you can only get an estimate.
For either system, cost is an unknown factor. Perhaps as the release date looms nearer, a definite price will be announced.

RE: 12X
Horizon will probably be advertising the 12X 2.4 complete with specs well in advance of when the European Distributors.
On major items, the JR market is typically Japanese market first, then the USA and then the ROTW. USA has a much larger customer base so logically they get the first major production allocation. ( Plus as this is a co-production, it makes sense)

RE: 12X
Nice pictures, thanks for posting. I wonder once all of this is released if it will be confusing to have both a conventional LF 12X and a SS 12X. Time will tell, I suppose. I'm also still curious to know what exactly has changed for A-PCM. Did they happen to have any info on that at the show?

RE: 12X
Their will be two 12X systems. One is a Spektrum 12X, as shown at Toledo, and one is a conventional LF system, as shown in the pics above. Mac_Man has made mention of this in the past here and in other forums. That's why I asked about the confusion it will cause. It is already causing it.

RE: 12X
Hi Nick,
Long time.............. the 12X version that is ending up at Horizon is going to be 2.4 GHz ONLY ! HH are NOT bringing in the "standard " version. The "standard" version will be available to the rest of the world. Some time later (once Horizon have had their tranche of the 12X 2.4GHz) the 2.4 GHz variant will be available to all and sundry.

RE: 12X
Yea it sucks to have to buy all new 2.4 RX's for all the RX's I have now ...... which brings up another question ,,wonder if you will be able to install the older modules and still use the new 12 X as a 10 X for some times when it isn't as important to have the saftey and freq change abilities ???

RE: 12X
[sm=confused.gif]
The US 12X on 2.4 will not be modular, the Spektrum pcb will be embedded.
The standard 12X will support APCM (10 Bit 12channel PCM), SPCM up to 10 channels, and PPM ( 8 channels with possible 12 channel future[ this I am not sure about at the moment])
