Pcm?
I have an 8103A FM and am getting everything for my first heli. Most experienced pilots recommend I get a PCM reciever due to all the "noice" introduced on a heli. Will my 8103 transmit to a PCM reciever without changing the module? I'm confused cause a local flyer has both FM AND PCM labled modules for his older JR but my radio has PCM listed in the setup options.

Yes, the modulation (PCM-s, PCM-Z, or PPM(standard FM)) is programmable from the transmitter. You must know which type of PCM (Z or S) receiver you have, and then program the TX accordingly. Programming instructions are posted all over the net, just do a search in this forum and you'll find a link.
Also, I had heard that some of the older PCM receivers will not work on the newer transmitters, Danny will have the definitive answer on this issue.

Yes, the 8103 is capable of SPCM, ZPCM, and PPM modulation types without changing the module, all that is required is to change the programming. JR did have an older 256 resolution PCM that is not compatible with the 8103, however this is seldom used.
