Default Trouble with JR 9X display

Hi!

I have JR 9x transmitter for more than a year and a half and got the display problem last week: one horizontal line and one vertical line of dots are not functioning - they are always blank(or bright?)
These lines are located approximately at one-forth from the top and one forth from the left side of the display area. The vertical line seem to bee not that badly 'dead' - it shows some dots in a lower contrast in comparison to the rest of the display.

I connected my display module to another JR 9X and had the same missing lines of dots. At the same time another display works well in my system.

I'm quite good in electronics but I'm not familiar with LCD and therefore I wonder if this is the PCB problem IC failure or the display(the glass) failure.

Can it be repaired or shall I look for a new display module?

Thanks,

Evgeny Divnov

Unfortunately it needs to have the display pcb changed. The pcb is not really an economic repair as it would be a trial and error approach. The circuit diagram for the module is not available even to the Service Centres.

Thank you for the quick response.

Is there any web-store where I can order the display with the delivery to Russia?

Thanks
