Using a Matchbox to change voltage
Can you use a JR Matchbox to change voltage?
I am running a 6 volt battery system on the radio of a H9 P-47. As you know, the recommended JR retract servos require 4.8 volt battery only. So by powering the Matchbox driving the two JR retract servos with a 4.8 volt pack plugged directly in, will this change the voltage to the servos to 4.8 also?
If not, is there a way to do it? Such as using regulator on the connection from the Rx to the Matchbox that reduces that power to 4.8. Or cutting one of the power leads on that connection so that the Matchbox gets power only from the 4.8 volt pack plugged directly into it.
Thanks

RE: Using a Matchbox to change voltage
The multibox has a wire link that causes the servos to take power from the main battery, if you remove the link you cab power the multibox and the servos from an independant battery pack.
