Default Proportional flap knob....

Sometime after I bought my XF631 I realized that its use for a model with flaps is a bit limited as it has a two position switch instead of a proportional knob for flaps.

Looks like I have two options:

1. Can the XF631 (or other similar 6 channel radios) be upgraded to have a proportional flap dial?

2. Which JR radio is the least expensive which has proportional auxiliary channels?

1) There are no system upgrades available for any JR systems except adding CCPM to a few older systems like the 347, 388, and older 8103's.

2) The 378 would be the least expensive system that has the functions you are looking for. It has a digital rocker switch for the flap and aux 2 channels. The 8103 has rotary knobs, and the 10X has slide switches on the case sides.

Thanks, I had a quick look at the manual, the 378 certainly looks like a good alternative to the 8103.....

The rockers switches requires a bit more investigation though, as the pictures of the Tx aren't that clear....

Danny,

I can't understand why the JR662 doesn't have one proportional channel like used for flaps. One flap setting is too basic. I know it is not an extra advanced radio, but it is not a simple one like the 631. I think that was a big mistake by JR that limits the 662's otherwise great capabilities.
