RE: Still waiting
He is well known over here in the UK, he was the Service Manager for the JR Importers, then he has moved on and worked on Futaba, Multiplex and he has carried out several single stick mods. Very well respected Engineer.
I will pm you his email address.

RE: Still waiting
John,
I dont honestly know. The one I am referring to is called Mick (Mike) and is qualified to work on JR, Futaba and Multiplex having worked for all the service centres in the UK for those systems.
I know he has done single stick mods for several disabled pilots, but I will call him tomorrow and ask him if he did Larry's.

RE: Still waiting
I am pretty sure Larry had his done somewhere in Europe. He had them stuff a Futaba 9C into a single stick unit, and it was incredible. You would have thought it had just come out of Futaba's plant it was that nice.
Single stick radios, a thing of the past, and unfortunately not slated for the future as they just never sold many at all.
Let us hope he is the man!!!

RE: Still waiting
Oporter, Have you tried contacting Tony Stillman at Radio South? I know Pete Waters, who use to do the radio column in RC Report has done the conversion you are looking for, and would think Tony Stillman could do likewise. In this way your equipment can stay in the U.S.A. The ad for Radio South can be found in most RC magazines. I think they use Proline and Kraft single stick transmitters and put the new electronics in the old case. As a matter of fact I just happen to have a 1974 Proline outfit with a single stick transmitter. Just a thought. Regards, JK

RE: Still waiting
I have actually visited radio south on a few occasions, they seem to be wonderfull folks and spent some time with me.
Unfortunately they seemed kind of ify about the conversion as to when they would get around to it. I actually saw a conversion and
it did not seem bad. I just feel that even if I have to wait six months to get the conversion done there should be a certain
amount of excitement about doing a prettty expensive project. Thank you for the proline offer but I have one. If you had the JR version
I mightl be a little more interested.
By the way, thank to for taking the time in replying.
I hope to hear who Larry used to do his conversion.

PS: I was told of a dentist in connecticut that does conversions as a hobby, I have tried to located him with no luck. Has anyone ever met him and do
you have any contact information.
