PCM10 Sevice Screen
I am trying to help a disabled clubmate who has been using a PCM10 Tx and now wishes to have it converted back to standard. He had rudder, elevator and ailerons on the RH stick. It had been modified by fitting a rotary control for the rudder to the stick top. After removing the rotary pot and reconnecting to the LH side, the servo was off center. I have now moved the rudder control pot to recenter the servo but the travel either side of neutral is not linear and stops before reaching the full travel. This is after resetting the model memory to default values. I believe the reason, is that the throw/center was probably adjusted from the service screen to compensate for a different value or different travel on the rotary control.
If you have any info on entering the service screen that would be much appreciated...I realise that this is supposed to be 'confidential' but we need to resolve this.....PM if necessary?
many thanks
John

John,
The safest bet is to send it to me at MacG's for a complete checkover and recal. It will only cost you £12-50 + P&P (unless parts are required).

Thanks MacMan...... My mate was, I believe quoted £50 to get 'deconverted' by a 'specialist' hence my involvement....so McG might be the best solution.... there is always the risk of loss in shipping though....so it would still be interesting to gain access to the 'secret screens'.......

Most 10X's come to us either by Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery as that carries insurance.
If its been de-modified back to normal, then its not going to cost anything near quoted.
If you have anyone driving near Maidenhead, ask them to drop it off... will only take about 20 minutes to give it a full checkover (assuming you send it in with module + xtal)
