Default XP6102

I have just purchased a XP6102 it says in the transmitter specs that it is PCM (s) or PPM what does this mean? I want to hook it up to a G3.5 simulator and it says on their inteface to make sure before you hook your own transmitter box to it that it is in PPM mode.Is it selectable or is it a function of the receiver? ... any help appreciated Thanks
Jason

It can operate both PCM and PPM (FM) receivers. It is selectable in the TX, to use with a simmulator you would select PPM.
