Bought a tx second hand. Module does not have a crystal. Can I purchase a crystal set of any frequency? Thank you for your help.

According to FCC regulations it would need to be sent in to an authorized service center, unless you happen to want it on the same frequency as the original owner. Otherwise you would need to send it in to install the crystal and check the tuning and output.
