Spectrum receiver quits-----HELP
Hi Danny,
Yesterday I bought the second AR7000 receiver to go with the DX7 I bought about a week ago. I installed it in a plane and followed the instructions about binding. Today, as I was range checking, I was rotating the right stick in a circular motion so it would activate the ail and elevator, when it just quit for about 4 or 5 seconds. It would move the surfaces for a few seconds, quit for a few, then repeat. I went thru the binding process again, but the problem stayed with it. I did notice that when the servos quit, the lights on both receivers went out.
Did I do something wrong?????
Should I send it back to Horizon????
Dale

RE: Spectrum receiver quits-----HELP
After messing with the system for a little while, I isolated the problem.
THE SWITCH!!!!!!!!
Apparantly, it would carry enough current to bring the system up, but not enough to operate a couple of servos too.
Thank you anyway. Dale

Well see that's 1001 things that can go wrong!
In over 45 years in this hobby, no servos then, rubber band excapements, I have seen 2 bad switches.
