Default New RX runs on Lipos, outputs 4.8 or 6 v

Here's an idea...

How about radio manufacturers developing RXs with the ability to use Lipos right out of the box. I use the MPI regulator now, but some instances 6.0 volts will not work. Such as the electronic ignition on gas engines and some servos, like the JR retract servo, that only works on 4.8 volts.

If a manufacturer built a RX that was compatible with my JR TX or a 2.4 g. system and allowed you to run 7.4 volt Lipos in either 6 or 4.8 volts, I'd buy it!

Hi Danni (and Wbpo),

When this Development will take place ? - below I just put some clarifications
to the question What Development I have in mind:
- The "naked" Lipo from the box directly are very exposed to distruction
if you discharge them below the critical voltage, while NiMH and NiCd do not
care about it. I mean that there is second money-likeage from utilizing Lipo,
that is circuit which should monitor Lipo to not get discharged. That development
costs even more than the price difference between Lipo and others. One
suggestion, if you have not done that yet: - Take an exhausted Lipo
from a mobile phone and dissassemble it carefully - there you will
see that between the user and the Lipo, there is quite complicated
and miniature electronic circuitry, and that is for the purpose of
monitoring both, chage and discharge. So, yes I would like to
change to Lipo too, but the troubles should be fixed prior that.
One can do it himself, but I guess it is better go flying and live
this job to JR, Futaba, etc. Thus, here is the question do Danni,
in more specific edition, if you like it:
- How soon we will get those Lipo in the RX and TX side ?

Regards,
Nick

The RX can handle the voltage fine, the servos are the limitation, most servos can only handle 6V max.
