Danny, I was getting ready to install the grommets on some new DS 821 servos when it dawned on me that I'm not sure which way to install them. Never thought about it before.

Now for the question, do the vertical ears on the grommets go aganist the servo case or on the outside of the servo? I looked in my XP9303 and Spektrum manuals and could find no reference as to the position.

G'day Larry,
The "ears" go towards the servo case, if you look closely at them , there is a piece that fits the groove in the servo case, so they are a snug fit.
Page 17, Spektrum manual, under servo installation.

Another note is to be sure that the flanged end of the brass eyelet goes toward the model, this prevents the eyelet from 'digging in' to the model and reducing the effectiveness of the grommets.

Just to ensure I got this right is there a simple diagram or photo showing this typical installation as it seems I have been doing it all wrong for years. One never stops learning in this hobby. Thank you
