Default DX7

The little gadget that Spektrum shows on their site to stop momentary voltage drop appears to be a simple electrolytic capaciter. Can anyone provide the value and working voltage requirement. Looks to be 1400uf and 10V. Should be very easy to make, and if this will save an airplane it sure would be worth it. Bob

It's definitely just an electrolytic capacitor of 10 volts.
Can't quite read the value in the picture though but what I can see is X700mfd. Now 4700 mfd would be a standard value that's easy to get BUT I'm NOT saying that's what it is. Definitely not 1400 mfd though.

you're right. Looks like 1700 or 4700. Wish someone from JR would let us know. They might lose a $6 sale, but they might also sell a lot more radios. I am a bit reluctant to fly my jet with this radio now. I put two 2000ma hydrides in it, but 4 cell. Bob

Looking at the lower markings, I would put money on it being 4700uF.

Please list a radio shack p/n if they have them. Would this be used with both the AR-7000 and the AR- 6100?
Or just the Ar-7000 To prevent the low battery thing?
What battery is sufficient with the Ar-7000?
Thanks

This is intended primarily for the surface systems, with electric vehicles that use a BEC, and the BEC is not sufficient for the high power spikes of the vehicle. The battery you will need depends on the model type, number of servos, etc.

Well right now I just want to fly a h9 pulse xt. I have the 4 servos that came with the dx-7 and 1 futaba 3004 for the throttle . I don't know if the stock 4.8 battery is enough for this setup. If not can you recommend a 6v battery.
I'm trying not making using this radio hard honest lol.

The stock pack should be fine, either 4.8V or 6V will work fine. JR makes many RX packs, any of them would work great. Since you had the mishap, I would have the transmitter checked just to be sure before flying.
