Lost DX-7 contact ?
Has there been any history of lost contact, because of AR 7000 placement behind large engines ? I'm concerned about that long final approach ? []

RE: Lost DX-7 contact ?
G'day Jim,
I was talking to a guy on the weekend, at a scale fly-in, he flies large scale aeros, he said that there have been problems with the signal, from the DX7, getting to the RX"s, not from the engine, but with the signal, getting through the fuel, a large 35oz tank of fuel, supposedly will stop the signal, it won't pass through liquid.
I know it is here say, but maybe worth thinking about getting the RX's further apart, in the top & bottom of the aircraft, to avoid the fuel.
I'm sure I will be howled down for this, but I thought it may be a valid point, & worth looking at.
