Extending the 6 inch cable to the Spektrum 2nd rx?
Where installations require a much longer cable between the Spektrum AR7000 receivers, can I do so without upsetting the system integrity?
Case in point. Cermark F-16. The standard 72 mhz rx is stuffed into the tail cone, along with a couple of servos and a lot of metal hardware, tubes, etc etc. It is extremely tight back there and quite possibly no opportuntiy to maintain the suggested six inch antenna separation, nor proper antenna orientation.
So the question comes up...can we simply extend the existing interconnecting cable...and then...to what extent may it be lengthened without compromising signal aquisition integrity?
May we add a couple of feet to the cable, and place the second rx way up front...away from other electronics and hardware.
Thanks very much for your technical insight on this question.

RE: Extending the 6 inch cable to the Spektrum 2nd rx?
Thank you very much John for your response.
Since extensions are available from Horizon, up to 36 inches, my take on it is that the main receiver doesn't really care where the other one is located....and I would also assume that there is no degradation in performance when using the longer cable....and that's great news.
Or is that not a safe assuption?
Thank you again.
Jim
