6102 Transmitter Broadcasting Interference on distant channel
Hope someone can help with a discovery at our field yesterday. While a friend was working on our club trainer, I inadvertantly left my JR 6102 transmitter (Ch. 23, PPM) on sitting on a flight stand. His channel 57 receiver was picking up a signal from my idle transmitter causing his servos to jitter and jump eratically when his transmitter was off. We proved it to be my transmitter by switching my transmitter on and off multiple times. It caused him no control problems with his transmitter on, which completely smoothed out the signal and the servo jitters went away, even though my transmitter was still on. My transmitter's proximity to his receiver made no apparent difference in the phenomenon.
Even though it did not cause us any real problem other than an annoyance, I would appreicate advice. Should I send it in for service? If this is this normal, no one at our field has seen it before.

G'day Mate,
That is not a problem with your TX, it is the reason why you should turn your TX on first & then the RX, if any other TX was on, & his RX was on at the same time, without his TX on, the same thing would happen.

Also all the post 1992 receivers are narrow band and should not bleed over to other channels. Any airplane that is on without the Tx on will twitch. Dennis
