Spektrum DX-7 problem in Europe.
Hello!
Spektrum DX-7 radios aren't legal in Europe due to the in European norm that limit the transmitter power output to 10mWatt.
Yet there has been many Spektrum DX-7 radios sold over here.
How come the US electronic norm for 2,4GHz transmitters can tolerate a higher power output than what we Europeans can? And will the US Spektrum DX-7transmitters already sold in Europe (now illegal) be of any harm to other 2,4GHz users like the Futaba "Fasst" systems operating on 10mWatt.

The limitation is with regard to the laws in certain areas, not with what the system can handle. The DX7 can be made legal for all countries, if the system is sold in an area, it is likely already set to match the regulations of the area, assuming it was sourced from the proper channels (dealers in your area).

RE: Spektrum DX-7 problem in Europe.
So you mean nobody is using and won't use the DX7 in Europe?
I returned back to Luxembourg one month ago after spending a couple of expat years in Dubai; and I have a bunch of equipments including several spektrum receivers and the latest DX7...
I didn't try yet to renew my club membership and fly in LUX, but I am willing to do so very soon.
Hope nobody prevents me from using the spketrum
Fingers crossed.
