could you make 7.4 volt servo's
anything in the works
just seems like the way to go
no regulators
less weight
less likely to drop below the spectrum voltage limit
I would love to just use a lipo battery without all the other hastles
please consider it
I am just letting you know what I realy want as a consumer
thank you for your time

They have some coming very soon. They will be branded Spektrum servos. That is from the "horse's mouth." Paul Beard. Before the end of the year. No reg needed for a 2S lithium. Alan Szabo is running them now in his Avant heli and has all year. I have seen them.

rumors on the heli sites is that lots of folks are running the 8717's on unregulated 2S
Has HH or JR done any testing with these servos at 8V? Any word on support of this configuration?

Alan Szabo has done it since day one with them and so do all the heli guys. I have three of them going in a 90 heli and a Spektrum RX is designed to operate off of up to 9v just fine. The 8717 works fine at 8 volts. They are INSANE fast and powerful at that speed. I asked Alan about his and he has been running them off of 8 volts since beginning of the year almost.
