My guess is that you are going to model type selection rather than model selection. In model type selection you change the system between aircraft and heli, but it goes to factory defaults each time on that model, but you are not changing the model. Make sure you are in model selection and set each model up as needed.

Danny,
I assume that this is a common error??
When both buttons are pressed and the unit is switched on 'TYP' appears as the default, if MDL appeared as default it would seem to make more sense.
Just a thought....
