DX7- Need Help setting up dual elevator mixing.
I just bought a DX7 w/AR7000 receiver. I'm installing two digital servos for my elevator in a Funtana 100X. One servo operates the left elevator and one operates the right. I have one plugged into the elev slot and other servo into the AUX2 slot. My problem is when mixed to operate the elevators in unison, I can't seem to get the servo's to travel for the max down elevator position. The "up" will travel full, while "down" will only be about 40% travel. Am I setting this up right using ELV/AUX2 spot in the AR7000? Then, I'm using the mix function with the DX7 ELV/MIX5.
Thanks for any help you can offer to properly mix a dual elevator setup using the DX7/AR7000 Spektrum.
Zig

G'day Zig,
Make sure your mix rate is +100% both ways, up & down, your S/W is ON, offset =0, in input select AUX 2: INH, AUX 2 Trim: INH, Flap: INH, Flap Trim: INH.

RE: DX7- Need Help setting up dual elevator mixing.
Thanks!
Jeez, now I got the elevator to mix correctly and having difficulties getting the ailerons to mix right... using the flaperon method. Not sure if it's me or just the manual for the DX7 is a bit confusing to follow. Keep tinkering I guess til I figure it out! Each aileron will move full in one direction, but again will only move about 20% other direction. Plus, when you look on the servo position screen, one will show nuetral at the 0% mark and the right will show resting at the 100% mark. I'm so confused... but don't let that fool you, I can fly'em good once I figure out the darn programming.

On the flapperon issue, first you go into the set-up mode, page to the Input Select screen (6 beeps) and set Flap and Flap trim to INH.

Had a similar problem with the flaperons.
Look at the setting of the flap 3 position switch (top right on mine). Factory setting is for zero in the middle position, this needs to be changed. You can see this on the screen that shows servo positions.
Can't remember which menu you need to go to (at work right now) but it's not too hard to find.
Make sure you use mix 5 or 6 for the elevators so the trim will work OK.
Have the same setup as you on my Edge540, after some struggles got it working nicely.
