Can you tell me what size battery will be put in the new Spektrum radio?

I went to the JR Indoor Festival in Columbus, OH last weekend and looked/felt the DX6i transmitter. It will be using a 4 AA setup.

Is it true that the radio will be runing on a 4 cell pack versus 8 cells like other transmitters (as per the post above)?
