JR 791 intermittent operation
Hello, I had purchased a Hanger 9 150 size P-51 with the JR791 Retract servos. The friend I purchased the plane from verified they worked, when I connected my reciever they didnt work. I used different servos connected to the same channel and they all worked flawlessly but when I connected the 791s, they would not do anything. I connected each servo directly to another plane reciever and they wouldnt work with that one either, yet when I pluggged a different servo to that channel, it worked. I took them back to the friend I bought them from and we hooked them to his reciever and aircraft and neither would work.
I purchased a new set of 791s and plugged them in and they worked great. A week or so later and the friend told me he tried the servos he had and now they were working, kinda odd. I took my Mustang to fly and as always verified all systems including the retracts worked. When we went to retract the gear, they wouldnt retract. When we got it on the ground we checked and they did work. I brought the plane home and sitting on the bench the servos would not work again. There is no typical servo noise or movement as the servo is plugged in. I keep verifying each time that the retract channel works by plugging in ailerons or flaps to that channel and they work every time. Any ideas? Has anyone experienced this other than my friend and I? It is just too weird that two sets work sometimes and other times wont. I do troubleshooting for a living and am totally perplexed by this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
