Default New Batteries

I bought a new replacement battery for my Spektrum DX7 plus three spare receiver batteries for the DX7 system. These are all stock batteries from Horizon Hobby. These batteries have not yet been charged. Can anyone tell me the shelf life of these batteries in their new uncharged condition? Should I put a charge on them to store them? If so, what voltage should I charge them to? Thank you.

The shelf life would be several years out of the package. Batteries should be stored in a discharged state. Many cyclers are available for this purpose, such as the E-Flite Pinnacle+ amongst many others.
