Model transfer from DX7 to 9303 2.4 ?
Can it be done?
I have been using my DX7 for a year now and have decided to go to the 2.4 version of the 9303.
I have the 9303 in hand and am wondering if this will work? I don't want to just plug things in and try it until I see an answer in here.
Also, if I manually input each model, are the travel values going to match up for those channels where I have altered the servo travel?
I don't want to rip my retract servo valves out of their mounts.
Thanks

The DX7 does not have a transfer function, however even if it did, it would not work. The settings can be transfered manually, but some adjustment may be required.

I just did this for 5 models. Did it manually and took about 3 hours. I wrote down the settings from the DX7 for each model on a setup sheet you can print from the 9303 electronic manual. I also measured the throws using a throw meter. It did take some tweaking on travel adjustments and subtrims, but it wasn't as bad as I was anticipating. Not a lot of fun, especially for 5 models, but man, the X9303 is a sweet radio!

Thanks for the reply,
DANG!! I was really hoping the model transfer would work.
I have eight warbirds to transfer from my DX7 to the 9303. I guess I should start recordinh the settings as mentioned by smarks.
It would sure be nice if there was some sort of PC USB interface that could be used to copy this info since it's not possible on a direct link up.
