http://www.macgregor.co.uk/radio/12X...2Xgraphics.htm

This is for the typical JR Heli layout. I would imagine that Horizon will have a few shifted for the"Aero version" (The 12X supports all 3 types)

are the switches going to be different for the US version.? according to the pictures the flight mode switch(stunt/idle up) is on the right side instead of the left. i really hate to hit dual rattes thinking i was going in to idle up.

now that i look at the pictures again all the switches are reversed!

Looks like a mode-1 TX to me! Maybe they are different on the mode-2 version?

Danny or Mac Man,

I will be purchasing the 12X MV Mode 1 upon its debut in the states. My question is I would like to fly both planes and helis with this radio. Should I order a plane radio and use it for both or a heli radio? What is better? Don't know if you guys fly helis but heli flyers tend to not like racheted throttle sticks. Is this radio gonna be universal where the rachet on the throttle can be disabled? Thanks for your help.

I don't know about you guys over there, but here in the UK we generally get a "notched" pressure bar AND a "flat" pressure bar in the kits. Invariably as JR is heavily Heli orientated, the sets come with the flat bar fitted with the notched bar (for Aero users) in the servo accessory bag.

As the 12X is a multi type system based on the 10X body design, trust me.... taking the back off is not an easy task like that for a 9303 etc.... for a start there are 13 screws to remove JUST to remove the back ! Taking the back off is not for the faint of heart !

There will not be a aircraft or heli specific system. The 12X is designed to be a one system for all types.

Danny, in the pictures the retract switch was on the wrong side of the transmitter, I assumed that this was because it was a "heli" tranny. Now I'm wondering if the retract switch is on the wrong side of the tranny permanent.
