Default 8103 programming guide

Hey Danny, just found this thread 5 minutes after I e-mailed product support. I would appreciate a copy of the guide also.

Thanks Jack, [email protected]

I just upgraded to the 8103 from a ex 421. It's like going from a Chevy Chevette to a Cadillac, great radio.

Danny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!what took so long? I had to wait at least 10 minutes. Thanks for the fast response. I'll tell the guys at the field about how quick your response was.
Every one complains about product support when they get a slow product support, But, hardly ever give out compliments when it comes fast. JR so far remains the best IMO.

Thanks again, J

Default Programming Guide?

I just bought an 8103 (My first brand new radio ) and cannot wait to get it to the field. Fortunately rain is predicted for the next (4) days, so I have ample opportunity not to rush things.

I just stumbled on this thread, and since I did not see Danny refer anyone to Horizon's website to download the manual, it got me wondering if the programming guide that is the topic of this thread is different than the manual that came with my transmitter. Is it? If so, guess who wants one too?

It might just be me, but while I am sure all the information is all there, I am finding the manual that comes with the radio just a little too cryptic in places, and would love to see the information presented from a different "angle", if available.

Regards,

Default 8103 programming guide

The programming guide discussed is not the manual, but rather a set up guide of sorts that walks you through some basic set up procedures. We have an aircraft and a heli version. You can send an email to [email protected] and request the programming guide, and we can email you back the guide. It is in MS Word format.

It is not up on our site at this time. How long ago did you send your message? If has been a couple days, it would be best to resend the message, it may have gotten lost. If it was today or yesterday, you may get it today. Our email turn around time is same day, though an a few emails may take a bit more time.

Default Programing guide

I would just like to put this out there again.

We get great support here on any questions we have and boy, there are many when it comes to the 8103

There is a book by Harry Higgley on Programing the 8103 with actual photograph pictures that show you how to do the set up's.

I am so glad I found this book. I searched and searched. It is unfortunatley discontinued, But,,

I found a couple in a Hobby Store in Canada. I only need one and if somebody wants the other one they can have it for what it cost me plus shipping.

Good luck all.
