Default Using my DX6 with Mutiplex Easystar

I just purchased the Spektrum DX6 and planning to replace the Hitech gear that came with my Multiplex RTF Easystar. I was wondering if there is any issues using the servos that came installed in the plane (they do connect easily to the AR6000 receiver) and the supplied 6 cell 7.2 volt battery. I installed everything and it appears to work fine (haven't flown yet and need to reverse the elev. servo). Just don't want to fry the receiver. The ESC is connected between the battery and the receiver (not sure if this makes much difference). Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks, Chris
