Default 11x Data / SD Card

Anyone have any success backing up data to an SD card? I have two cards, formatted both to FAT, but neither seem to be working. On one I get an error as soon as I point the copy program to the SD card, and the other I get the error when trying to copy the file. I should mention, using the second card I was able to update the firmware.

Also, did anyone notice, "boot-up" is MUCH longer with a SD card installed?

Thanks
Rob

Boot up is slightly slower with the SD Card installed.

I have had no problem moving data to, or from the SD Card.

From other users’ reports, the 11X does appear to be sensitive to which SD card is used. While Horizon doesn’t specify anything other than the card be l GB or larger, JR Prop instructions for the 11X Zero are more specific. Not only do they state the card should be 16 GB or less and FAT formatted; but you should buy their card as "Commercially available SD cards may not operate properly." Now, there is no knowing if the 11X and 11X Zero card reading software is the same.

Upon the recommendation found in another forum, I’ve been using a Kodak 2 GB SD memory card. I can’t tell any difference in start-up time with the card installed or not. I’ve had no problems writing to the card or retrieving data from it.

I've been using a 2GB SanDisk SD card on my 11X with no trouble at all, including no noticeable difference in start-up time.

Mine is an 8G sandisk card from one of my old cameras, works like a champ, updates and backups.

I've tried an 8G Cannon and a 128G Sandisk. The Cannon was the one I was able to upload the newer firmware with but as above neither is working for storing data files...

I've been using a 2 gig SkanDisk card with no issues, and no slow down in boot time.

The card slot is in the battery compartment.

Open the battery door and remove the battery (you can leave it plugged in)

Its toward the right side and the top of the battery compartment (against the backplate of the radio)
