I don't believe that's accurate. I just bought an 7000 and it indeed have a data port for the flight logger but my understanding was that
an upgraded older version would not have that capability as the port was not available. Need to check with Horizon for the answer.

I have had two receivers upgraded and the both now have Batt/Data on the case and support the data logger.

I had my AR7000s firm ware upgraded by Horizon and they do not say Batt/Data. I haven't tried my Flight Log yet, but it would be really nice if it worked.

I had my 7000 updated at Horizon and it works with the logger but it doesn't say "data"

Yes, the older, upgraded AR7000's are flight-log capable even though it is not printed on the receiver. I have 4 receivers back from the factory and they are flight-log capable (even though it is not printed on the reciever OR the invoice that came back with the receiver). This is in contradiction to an earlier post by Danny. The fact is is that upgraded ones ARE flight-log capable.
