Default 811 Servo - Very high speed vibration/Flutter

I have relatively new (4 months old) 811 digital servos on a fun-fly plane.

Yesterday, the elevator servo started fluttering at a very high speed. I almost seems like vibration from the engine (but of course it continues with the engine off too).

Problem is very intermittent. Occurs only at neutral, once I move the servo, the vibration stops. When I return to neutral, sometimes it flutters, sometimes not.

PS: The batteries are NOT overcharged, I have checked both on charged and discharged batteries.

Any ideas ???

Since Danny may not be back till monday I will pass on what sent me with almost the same problm, and it worked.

Make sure the servo screws are not too tight and the servo case is not rubbing. I had forgot and left the wood to tight against the case on mine. Cleared the problem right up.

I'm sure you have already made sure there was no binding in the elevator.
Hope this helps.

Default Servo vibration

The servo is not too tight and there is no binding in the elevator either.

When I take the servo arm off, the servo seems to stop but as soon as I put the arm back, there is the vibration again.
But this could also be because the vibration is a very high frequency, so maybe I don't see it till I connect the elevator.

Does it stop if you lightly touch the surface with your hand? If so, it is likely not anything wrong with the servos. If it does not stop there may be a problem with the servos and you should send them in. Is there any slop in the gear train? Make sure your hinges are secure and slop free. Also be sure that your pushrods are free to move, and that there is no slop throughout the control system. If you have any further questions please feel free to give one of our techs a call at 877-504-0233.

Danny.
It does not stop when I touch the surface.
Tried playing around with dual rates...
Hinges are good and everything is slop free...

The servo is fine when it's not at neutral, only when I move the stick to neutral, I get this very high frequency vibration.

In fact, the first time I thought, "why is my engine running so rough"...

Thanks.

If it does not stop, it may be a bad or worn pot in the servo. It sounds like it would be best to send the servo in for a check up.
