Hi, our club bought a trainer box for teaching new members. It's a Quattro tx. w/o a crystal...We were wondering if it will also work as a regular tx. by adding a crystal? Or are there other components missing inside (like the Futaba) that might prevent that? Thanks.

You would need the crystal and an antenna if it does not already have one. That would be all that you would need to use it as a regular TX.

Plus won't you need to send it back to Horizon as per FCC regulation for xtal installation?
