Default Charging my DX6i with supplied charger...help

How do I know if the "spektrum" batteries are being charged in my DX6i? I have no indication on the screen or anything else.

I want to try flying my Trojan today but my voltage only says 5.4v.

Run the radio for a while and note the voltage.

Charge it for 12 hours and note the voltage.

I think that only uses 4 cells so 5.4 would be well charged, 4.9 would be getting low.
