new XP 662--have compatibility ??
My son just won a nice 662 in a raffle (thxs to HH for donation) and we have a couple of questions about working with other brands. we plan to install the 700 in his main plane but we are building up a heli that has a hitec 555 rx. Will the XP662 work with the Hitec? Also, will Futaba servos plug into the 700 RX? (they have been used with a F 127 rx.

The Hitec receiver will only work if it is labelled to work with JR, or is shift selectable so you can choose positive shift. If it is made to work with Futaba and Hitec it will not work with the JR system. You have to shave the tab on the Futaba plug to put into JR, as well as bevel the corners of the plug. If you compare to a JR plug you can tell where the plug will need to be shaved.
