Anyone Else Have This Problem?

I was reprogramming one of the memories on my DX7 the other night when I noticed the battery indicator moving wildly and the the receiver lost lock right on the bench. I had just tested the plane and everything worked fine but when I went in and adjusted the aileron Expo and rudder dual rate value it went nuts and would no longer control the plane. I tried re-binding it several times but it would not, I also cleared that memory location and powered on and off several times and still no joy . I re-bound the plane (same receiver) on a different memory location and all worked fine so only that one memory position was messed up. Anyway I sent it back this afternoon for repair so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. I also ordered a brand new DX7s in the mean time and that will be here on Tuesday. At least Horizon has fast shipping, free too. I'll keep the old DX7 as a backup radio when I get it back.

So has anyone else had this single memory thing happen?

Not during ownership of my DX-7 nor at any time with my DX-8.

I have confidence Horizon/Spektrum will make it right tho

I have seen behavior something like what you describe. Its usually caused by a bad pack/cell or a bad lead/connection.Take the pack out of the radio and load test it.If this doesnt show a clear problem and it is possible to readily reproduce the issue I would send it to service for a checkup.

I your talking about the battery I did test it and it tests just fine. Also, the radio works exactly as it should on all of the other memories except that particular one. Very strange problem but probably related to the processor. I knoe that Horizon will fix it and if I didn't have confidence in them I would not have ordered a new Spektrum radio.
