Spectrum DX9 and altitude warnings

I will be practicing pattern flying this spring with a DX9 and the AR9030T receiver. I would like to be able to get a voice warning at 100ft, 200ft, 300ft and 400ft. Should I be looking at the variometer or the GPS unit for this purpose?

Thanks.

Vario. The baro sensor is good for a SINGLE altitude alarm, although you can query altitude using a switch press at any time. GPS does not alarm on altitude.

Thanks Andy. I was told that you were the man to ask and was hoping you would see my request. And isn't it nice that, of the two possibilities, the Vario is the lower price? How often does that happen?

Jon
