DX9 - Moving Throttle to Right Lever

I am working with a guy that had a stroke and has movement in right hand only. We have moved the throttle to the right lever. Now we would like to have a throttle hold on the usual location. (Right top 2 pole switch).

We have been trying to implement using mixes since the throttle hold function will not work.

Any ideas? A mix seems to work as long as the throttle is in a low position. As soon as the throttle is raised, the hold no longer works.

Any ideas??? Thanks

How did you move the throttle to the right lever? Did you do it by a mix, or did you move the wires?

Can you export your model and post the SPM file here? Then I won't have to ask 20 questions.

You can do this with a mix. Mix RLv > THR with -100%/-100% for the rates and -100% for the Offset, using switch H as the control.

Sorry, I don't have access to the radio at the moment. There were no physical mods to the radio. We just moved the throttle channel to aux 4

I am pretty sure that I tried that mix... the problem was with the throttle hold on, moving the right lever (now throttle) above half started the blades on the quad spinning. The throttle hold worked for bottom half of the lever movement.

OK, here's a complete method. You might want to start over and make only these two mixes.

1) Normal Mix THR > THR at -100%, -100% offset -100%, switch ON. This disables the throttle stick and puts the default throttle at low.
2) Normal Mix RLv > THR at 100%, 100%, offset 0, switch H. This causes the Right Lever to control the throttle across its full range. Using switch H allows you to give control to the normal throttle system (which is locked in the off position because of the -100% offset) in one position, and to the slider in the other position.

Now you have disabled the throttle stick, enabled the H to serve as your throttle lock, and put the right lever in as the throttle control.

I will try that Saturday morning when I see him next.

Thank you Andy.

Method worked. We also moved the rudder to the right knob using the same technique.
He is flying quad copters so the rudder is not quite as important.

Thank you for the help
