As a JR rep and supporter, I would have to say absolutely! :D

I don't have any information on the Futaba system to compare. The 6102 is a very feature packed 6 channel radio and works very well. My intitial thought would be that our 8103 more closely compares to the 8U however. The 6102 though is a very nice system. Do you have any particular requirements for a radio that you are looking for? Any complex mixing or functions required?

Well not really. I have never used more then 6 channels. The most mixing i have done is flap/elevator mixing and duel aileron servos and expo. I dont do to much aerobatic stuff and the only plane i have for that is a funtana 40. Im looking at the pcm verson as next summer i'll have a gasser and it comes with a pcm receiver but also works with ppm receivers. It looks like it will do all the mixing i would ever use.

From the requirements for a system that you listed, I would say that the 6102 is capable of everything listed and then some. It sounds like the 6102 may be an excellent choice for you.
