8103 does not turn on
 

Danny, I have a friend who has a roughly 3-4 yr old 8103 with DT's. I'm currently using it in a heli. I had turned it on and operated the heli, and then shut it all down and then tried to turn it all back on, and nothing. At first, I thought that the Tx battery had dropped down below operating voltage, but after I removed the pack and checked it with my battery tester, it showed good @ 10.3V. I put it back in, and still nothing. Checked the fuse, the fuse looked good from my stand point, as it is rather hard to look into where the fuse is. Reached in with some tweezers and tok the fuse out, and checked in on a Digital Volt Meter with continuity, and it read nothing, so I changed that, and still nothing. Checked the fuse, and blown again. I made sure that I had plugged the battery lead in the right way. Now, I'm curious as to iof the Lithium Battery in it could have died on it or not?? Where is the Lithium battery located in the 8103?? Is this somethign that I can change or have the Dr's at Horizon do this?? But I would also like him to send it in and see why it keeps popping fuses.

Chris,
I would recommend sending the sytem in for a check up. If it has had reverse polarity the lithium battery may be drained, and maybe some other damaged components. Our turn around times are pretty quick right now, in the range of 4 days if not less. Fill out this sheet when sending your system in. http://www.horizonhobby.com/media/pd...rchecklist.pdf
