Hello 10X - I have a few questions.

I gave myself a 10X Flex System for Christmas and I am very happy with the unit. I converted from brand "F" over the holiday. I purchased an additional receiver, a R700 for a smaller plane. I went through the manual several times before attempting any programming or installation. During this learning process I had a question concerning the use of the DSC with the R700 FM receiver. I called Horizon technical support and was told that the DSC would only work with PCM receivers. Well that tech was wrong. Today for grins I plugged in the DSC into the plane with the R700 FM receiver and it worked. Will the DSC work with any JR receiver?

I have one other question. I ordered the radio with DS8411 servos. Are the specifications shown using 4.8 volts or 6 volts.

Torque:
155 oz./in.
Speed:
.18 sec/60°
Sweep:
.16 sec/60°
Weight:
2.03 oz.
Size:
.75x1.54x1.36
AABearing:
Dual
Motor:
Coreless Hi Torque
Uses:
1.20 Size to 40% Giant Scale Airplanes

Hello 10X - I have a few questions.

I believe the DSC will work with any RX but am not 100% positive.

Also, those stats are for 4.8V

For 6.0V the torque is about 180 and speed is about .16

Hello 10X - I have a few questions.

In most JR receivers, the signal pin on the battery connection is the input for signal to the receiver's decoder IC. The signal from your transmitter's DSC/trainer jack is fed to the receiver this way. This only works properly with the transmitter OFF. As you can guess, with the receiver in the model, you must use the fancier switch harnesses with the orange signal wire to use DSC. The 10X comes with this. The only JR receiver that does not have the DSC is the R610, in which one connection is shared by battery and channel 6 to save space. The signal pin is used for Channel 6, and thus can not be used for DSC.

Hello 10X - I have a few questions.

Those specs are at 4.8 volts. The torque increases to 188 oz-in and the speed to .15 sec/60º at 6 volts. The switch harness must have the orange signal wire in order for the DSC function to work, the receiver does not have to be PCM to use the DSC function.
