Jr700 series receivers

Posting for a friend who is putting together a Aeroworks Edge he will be using all Hitec 5600 and 5945 Hitec Digitals 8 all together. He plans on using a 700 series receiver and using a i4c batt isolator system. I was wondering Danny do you recommend using the 649 or 950 series pcm receivers when using a the Digitals vs. the lower end 700 fm receivers???

The R700 works great with digital servos. If he is using a gasoline engine, it is recommended to use PCM, but otherwise the R700 would work great.

why?

Why is it that for a Gasoline plane it is better to use a PCM Rx?

PCM is better at interference rejection, and also you can set the throttle to failsafe to idle. This in turn may reduce the RF noise from the engine (bearings and ignition) in turn possibly regaining control of the aircraft.
