JR 622 and Elevon's again

Danny,

I read the previoius message about the JR 622 not supporting elevon mixing, but wondered why you couldn't use the flaperon function and elevator-flap mix to functionally get the same thing. I've been trying, but so far only can get appropriate aileron travel when the flaps are deflected in one direction. That is. with the right stick held fully back, both aileron's seem to deflect fully up and down as they would if mixed properly. With the transmitter stick held fully forward, only one elevon will deflect upward to the neutral position, while the other remains in place. I feel as though I'm missing something simple that would allow normal aileron travel up and down with flap deflection linked to the elevator. This radio has been in a pattern plane for some time, and I had no reason to use the flaperon function, so I'm in new territory. Is this possible?

Thanks for the help,
Jim

JR 622 and Elevon's again

Just tried that out here, it looks like it works to me if you wish to do it this way. I believe what you are seeing is the servo reaching the end of its travel in one direction with down elevator or up elevator. One servo will run out of travel when you give it down elevator, and the other will run out of travel when you give it up elevator when combined with the aileron. You will notice the same thing when you give it full left or right aileron and move the elevator, that one or the other servos will stop. This also can happen with standard elevon mixing, so it looks like it works just fine. You do also need to zero out the flap travel to stop the switch from moving the servos, and also to keep both servos centered properly.
