K-180 and K-180G
Anyone have any info on the K-180E and the K-180G turbines? The is supposed to have internal solenoids, which sounds cool so maybe ONLY 1 fuel intake valve? The K-180E is the same size as the K-170 however it has a larger combustion chamber and produces upwards of 40+ lbs of thrust.
Pricing isn't confirmed but word on the street is 3,150.00 for the propoane and 3250.00 for the Kero-start k-180G.
I believe the k-180E is already available via kingtechUSA, with the K-180G scheduled to be released late May / Early June.

Gentlemen, sorry haven't been able to come up with a definite date of release on our newest and baddest K-180G. We are taking every step of precaution in an attempt to make sure the reliability before the release of our newest G series. The factory had finished final testing stage for an internal temp probe to be concealed within the can, availability of K-180G should be around a month. Thank you so much for your interest!

Planning to run two of these in my 14 and 15 so when everyone starts flying them be sure to post feed back. If they are anything like the 170, it will be the turbine to beat. The good thing about this turbine is the fact its the same size as the 140 +1mm and almost same weight as the 170 +2oz
Should fit perfecto in my F-14 without having to butcher the mounts

Barry,
Didn't get to meet up with you at FL jets. I did fly my JL f-15 with the K180g there. Man that thing is Sweet! I set it down to 119K RPM and it flew great! Show 169mph on the telemetry flying it around at mostly 1/2 throttle. I lost he airframe late Friday due to a gear up problem and I slid it off the end of the field in to the ditch area. Nothing hurt in the electronics or the turbine. I going to post a onboard video soon of the that flight.
I move the turbine Friday night over to my 1.5 hawk that had a Ram 1000 that was acting up and it flew on Saturday morning great. It took the hawk vertical like crazy! Again at 119k RPM. I am waiting on my F-18 from FEJ 1.7 to put this beast in.
Thanks for you help on the setting.
Jeff
