The next "G" turbine?
Kingtech,
Do yo have any plans on releasing a turbine that is going to be in the 150/160 class e.g. a 160G?
I'm looking for a dual turbine setup, was considering dual 180G on a Large FEJ F-18 but that would put out too much power, something in the 160 would be nice.
I love my 180G so it would have to slick like this setup, all internal solenoids / thermo couple kero start.

You have gotta be reading my mind Disco, both 150 and 160Gs are currently under testing and announcement has yet to be made. If you are looking for a matched pair, give me a quick shout

RE: The next
Great I will call
Here is my Jet:
http://flyeaglejet.com/en/F181.6.html
I was thinking about 2 180s but Fly Eagle said that would be too much power even with full missile set, the max the recommend is dual 160's toned down a bit to put out 35 lbs thrust for a max of 70lbs as the jet fuel of fuel is 70lbs.

RE: The next
What is the difference with the G turbines apart from being red (which I love by the way) when you select them on the kingtech site the description mentions nothing other than the specs, dosnt even tell you if they are kero start or not which I assume they are.

Curious, but why develop a150 AND a 160? Turn down the rpm's of the 160 a couple thousands and you have the same thrust as a 150. Why even bother with making two separate turbines? I don't get the logic of that.

Hi Dan, it would take different components, ie. tail cone, wheels, however, the factory is concentrating on the 160 more so on the 150. Xairflyer, yes, G model is fuel start, sorry if our web info missed it.

RE: The next
Sorry probably never made my question clear enough, it was what is the difference from the G series turbines to previous?
My point was the website tells you nothing new in the description and didnt even mention that they were kero start.

ORIGINAL: Xairflyer
For anyone else asking the same question as me the G series turbines have internal valves and EGT probe.
Wonder is there plans for a K80G or K140G

RE: The next
Im hoping they make something in 55+ range, got an idea for a future project that I was looking at the B300F as a power plant but first things first, got to get two 180s for the f-14/f-15 projects.

Sorry guys, doesn't seem like the factory is willing to do a 160 a this point, however, we are bringing back the 170 in the G model.
Thanks,
Barry
