K 140G Idle Problems
Hi guys. First off this is my first turbine. I have a 140G that I am running on diesel. It starts great but at idle it shoots some small flames. When I increase the throttle just a couple clicks it clears out and runs great! I have it set as per the manual and haven't made any changes. It is a steady idle at 33,000 rpm. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you,
Tym

Tym, what's the pump PW during idle? if it holds a steady idle I probably wouldn't be too concerned. The pop or puffs during idle may or may not be related a clogged injector, which you may try to blow compressed air into the fuel port to clear, but make sure you go to info menu and test open the fuel valve.

Barry,
I ran it 3 times today and it wasn't nearly as bad. The PW at idle is 58. RPM at idle moved between 32800 to 33400. It is aslo rather cool here at 55 degrees if that would affect it.
Thank you for your help.

The ambient temperature should be a factor here. But those are good numbers on the PW Tym, the fuel pump which affects the idle should grow steadier for you as you run it.
