K-140 puts out 140 N or Newton, which is 14kg or kilogram, not sure about the units you were referring to. But if I am guessing correctly, try to start out at around 114,000 RPM, go from there, more importantly, fly with throttle management.

Thanks for reply Barry
what I was referring to is what max rpm should I set to give me approximately 20 pounds of thrust or 10 kilo thrust
currently max rpm is 123k which pushes out aprox 140n(14kg) aprox thrust
so can I assume you meant aprox 114k for 10 kg thrust ?
This engine is on a skymaster /extreme 2m vioer and is way too much power at max rpm
thx

izzy,

I ran a K140 and have some #'s you can go off of. I am at 1380' altitude and it was 28*C at time of testing. The K-140 I ran today was putting out 22LBS or 9.97KG @ 110,000 RPM and 25lbs or 11.33KG @ 111,500 RPM. If you adjust your turbine to the lower RPM, make sure you relearn RC and let the ECU start with the fresh settings.

Hope this helps,

Dirk

Why the hell do people want to de tune turbines? Just lower your end point it has the same affect and is much faster!
