Sorry Ron thought you where some one else.

You will need a xicoy telemetry adapter plugged into you JR telemetry system. I have never used JR but it looks straight forward.

Hey Gunradd, I've got an Ultra Flash on the way that I plan to put a k140G2 in. I know it's been asked a hundred times, but is there a time-frame estimate on the telemetry availability for Jeti? Weeks, months, 2018? Thanks!

Barry. ..

Is the new ECU and the K160 on back order?
Do you have a time frame the factory can start shipping my order.
I am like a kid waiting for Christmas

Hi Arron,

When I was at the factory last week, they were building twenty four K-160Gs and at least half of those are ready to be shipped out this week, and the rest next week. I also did see our PO for your engine, so I would say it's safe to suggest that your engine is one of the 24. I have already reminded Vera to forward you a tracking number, when it becomes available.

Thanks,
Barry

Gun,

Do you have any idea when telemetry will be available for ANY radio system on the new ECU?

Jan, you know who to ask - Sean in Taiwan, Gunradd would not have that information.

Hi,

Does the new ECU support 2S LiPo? 8.4V from receiver plug

asking because
starter/kero/turbine batt is 3S LiFe 9,9 V

and model has 2S LiPo for servos/RX

so if now I need a third battery only for ecu... it is getting crowded inside

I tried option with 5V BEC but I get weird rpm numbers probably from EMI/RF noise

thanks

The issue is that the glow plug cannot take more than 10 volts so a freshly charged ECU battery needs to be motored a bit so the voltage comes down under 10 volts. A 2S LiPo doesn't have enough "umph" for reliable starts and a 3S LiPo is way too much.

thanks,
but the question was about voltage from throttle channel.
can it be 2S LiPo?

I have it set up and running,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cc2kfuvqnu4

but with :

1x 3S LiFe 9.9V battery for starter/glow/pump
1x 4S NiMh 5V batetry for RX input

and on plane I will have

1x 3S LiFe 9.9V for turbine
2x 2S LiPo for RX/servos
and do I need really an third battery like NiMh for ECU only?

or I can plug in rx channel (throttle) bringing in 2S 8.4V from rx/servo battery?

using an BEC to lower 2S voltage to 5V for it makes my ecu go wild, so that is not an option
video in my upper post

You should be fine with 2s LiPo from Rx.
