Questions for the Jeti user, is this telemetry device use jetibox/exbus?

Can a start be monitor via the TX LUA or Jetibox?

I have been playing with it and I can see telemetry, but no start monitoring? What I’m missing?

Also I didn’t try a start yet, but that light is flashing green and blue? Normal?

I taught it would be simple.....??

My 18MZ will not update to the version showing the JetCat option. Did you select the JC option? If so, are you getting any display that can be used for 'Fuel Remaining?

Yes I did choose the JC sensor option, and it works, partially.
There is a sensor from the pump with fuel remaining. You must config the tank capacity in the KT dashboard to get a read.

However, I am still not getting any RPM reading.

Do a Flight like you normally would..
after you land measure the fuel you have left
Look at the Telemtry fuel remaining

let's say your pump factor was 350 and your fuel left was 58% but your Telemtry said 48% left
use this formula

350 x (100-58) / (100-48) = 282

this example your New pump factor is 282.

each pump will have a different pump factor. Even 2 same class engines.

Like he said - you also have to start by getting the USABLE fuel volume right, try to bench test with the same fuel tank setup as you will have in your jet. To get the usable fuel volume, fill the tanks, then pump out as much fuel as you can and measure the volume. Then I suggest you start with a pump factor of 290. My 140's are around 250 and my 180's are around 340. Normally I find that I can get within 50ml of exactly the usable fuel volume remaining after 3 flights.

Does anyone know if there's a way to reset "fuel used" to 100% after disconnecting your taxi tank?

There's a way yes...

what I did is installed a normally closed push button switch in my air brake compartment. Install the switch on the power lead of the Telemtry module. When the button is pressed it interrupts the power and resets the fuel capacity ��

Thanks...any way to do it from the TX? For example, on the JetCentral's you can run the throttle up to full then idle quickly...

Yes you can use a receiver controlled switch. If you're using Spektrum it takes a little more wiring. The easiest way is with the push button

I use Spektrum with Powerbox Mercury.
The Spektrum Xicoy Telemetry needs power at startup in order for the Spektrum Xbus to find it and initialize it. The problem is with a RX controlled switch it needs power from the RX to complete the circuit and power the xicoy telemetry, this takes too long and the Xbus will ignore the xicoy on startup.

The easiest way is to run a separate power lead to the JR plug on the Xicoy with a small switch. After you power up your model and everything is active you can switch off this power lead with the switch. You RX controlled switch will now cycle the power off to reset fuel.

This is one way..there can be others...

If you use the new Spektrum powersafe RX you have to do something similar.

I tap into the power wire on the Xbus wire with a diode, run that to the power wire of the JR wire with another diode.
the diodes are to ensure you don't get power backfeed.

I would think the same goes for Jeti. Power must be interrupted to reset the fuel.

Yes, I'm using this setup on Jeti, works fine. Route the power (positive wire) for the FC-1 through one of these: Turnigy Receiver Controlled On/Off Switch and use a spring loaded switch on the transmitter to momentarily interrupt power to the FC1. By the way, this also works fine using Futaba.

Once the system is powered up, your way will work!
Trick is getting the system to initialize first !

I have a Xicoy FC-1 Flight Computer but it works the same regarding fuel consumption as the stand-alone Xicoy telemetry unit, in fact, I used one of those with the same RC switch setup before I got the FC-1. Both units work with any Xicoy ECU, I'm using it with both a Kingtech and JetsMunt turbine.

Sorry, the G2 which I think is what we are talking about doesn’t used the Xicoy ecu.....its the KingTech ECU and KingTech Telemetry device, which is different....but this might still work, I’m gone try something.
